1. What this document describes.
The document explains how to set up RICOH Supervisor-I.
RICOH Supervisor-I offers graphical dashboard to keep track of the printer operating
status and alert function that prompts maintenance at the right time.
There are 2 ways to install RICOH Supervisor-I.
1)
Using ColorGATE RIP software which is provided with a printer
2) Download RICOH Supervisor -I module (Data collector) from the following link.

*In the description, the words "Supervisor-I" and "Data collector" are used. “Data collector”
module must be installed on your PC in order to use Supervisor-I functions.
Supervisor-I helps to keep the printer running stably by grasping the PV and issuing alerts
at the right time.
we provide followings:
- Graphical dashboard that allows customers to see key usage statistics over
time on their printer in real time.
- Alert function to notify you of abnormal printer operation.
- Remote FW update function
These detailed functions are described in the operation manual of each model of RICOH
Supervisor-I.
2. Overview of installation
a. Firstly, check PC operating environment. Such as system requirement,
specification and Browsers. The system requirements are listed in Appendix
A.1. Please check it before installation.
b. Secondly, connect the printer and the PC on which “Data collector” is installed
to the same network that can connect to the Internet. Set IP address of the
printer as needed. For how to set the IP address of the printer, refer to the
manual of each printer.
c. Thirdly, install “Data collector” by referring to Chapter 4 in this manual.
d. Finally, register your email address and information about you so that you can
see the printer status.
