LCOS Projectors
In LCoS, a liquid crystal cover is
applied to the surface of a
semiconductor chip that has a
highly reflective coating. There
are one of these assemblies for
red, green, and blue.
The RGB images are sent to
these semiconductors, and
beams of light are reflected off
these and recombined before
being projected to the screen.
LCD projectors give bright, high-
resolution/high-contrast output,
and they are easy to adjust. But
they are adversely affected by
dust and vibrations.
The layout of the machine is
similar to the LCD projector,
except that LCoS plates are used
instead of LCD plates.
