13. New Common “One Click” UI with PCL6 and PS Printer Driver
A lot of new OS is released one after another; customization requests from users are getting large.
In such environment, RCL has to develop many drivers (such as Printer/Scanner/LAN-Fax drivers for
Japanese domestic version and overseas version) compatible to new OS, our development and QA
resource is always running short. For that reason, we need “Selection & Concentration” strategy for
early release of drivers.
Although RPCS will be discontinued as a PDL (Page Description Language), user friendly one click UI
of RPCS printer driver will be inherited to the new UI which is common to PCL6 and PS drivers.
