11. Universal Driver
11-1 Function
A single printer driver can be used for across Ricoh’s MFPs and LPs.
When the universal driver is connected to the target machine, it gets the machine information from MIB
by bidirectional communication. (network only)
a) Applicable Models
If the target machine is an applicable model, the driver UI changes to its own UI of the target device.
Ricoh’s universal driver can use same functions as the normal driver.
b) Ricoh PCL models except for models 04A onward
If the target machine is not an applicable model, the driver UI changes in accordance with the MIB.
As the highest common factors are shown as the UI, some functions are not available.
