3) Continue opening section by section, until the ladder is opened to its full length (Fig.7).
NOTE! Carefully check that each locking lever is in the locked position.
5.2.2- Intermediate length:
To open the collapsible ladder to any intermediate length, proceed as follows:
1) The ladder is opened to intermediate length, by placing it on a firm level surface.
During opening, stabilize the ladder with one foot placed on the lowest rung (Fig.8).
2) Leave some steps from the top as a group that is not opened, grip the lowest step of this group with
both hands. Extend its section fully, then the next section fully.
At the same time, check that both locking levers are in the locked position (Fig.4)
3) Continue opening section by section until reaching desired length, the rest of the sections should
be opened completely (Fig.9).
NOTE! Carefully check that each locking lever is in the locked position.
5.2.3- Closing the Ladder
(Fig.10)
:
To close the collapsible ladder, proceed as follows:
1) Clean the ladder (if necessary).
2) Hold the ladder in an upright position with both hands on the stiles, in such a way that you do not
catch your fingers when you close the ladder.
3) Unlock and close the ladder from the bottom: begin by releasing the sliding safety locks (4) at the
bottom. Release one lock at a time, all the while holding the ladder with your other hand.
Release the lock to the right with your right hand and the one to the left with your left hand.
4) The rung section folds away as soon as you release the lock. Hold the telescopic tubes a little way
up the ladder and close the rung section carefully using both hands.
5) Unlock and close the remaining rung sections, starting from the bottom and moving upwards one
section at a time, by alternately holding onto the ladder with one hand and releasing the sliding safety
lock with the other hand.
NOTE! To avoid the risk of getting your hands trapped, do not put them on or between
the rungs while closing the ladder.
5.2.4- Changing the length of an already opened collapsible ladder.
When changing the length of an already opened collapsible ladder, always close the ladder first (see
“Closing the Ladder"), and thereafter open the ladder to the desired length (See "Opening the Ladder
- Intermediate length")
5.3- Using the Ladder:
For safety reasons ladders in general shall be used with care and common sense.
With regard to the collapsible ladder, please also consider the following:
1) The ladder is used at an angle of 75 degrees, in relation to the ground (Fig. 11).
2) The ladder is built for maximum load of 150 kg (Fig. 12).
3) The ladder must be used on a flat firm level surface.
4) The top three rungs must not be used as foot steps.
5) The ladder must not be used with an irregular distance between the rungs (Fig. 13).
6) Avoid using the ladder in damp or wet locations as this may result in a malfunction due to dirt and
water getting into the tubes.
7) Avoid subjecting the ladder to knocks or rough treatment, as damage to the tubes directly affects
the collapsible function.
8) Always transport collapsible ladder in the folded position, so that the collapsible tubes are
protected inside each other and cannot be damaged.
9) The ladder must not be used whilst hanging from the top rung.
10) Do not open, close or use the ladder upside down.
