Have the chainsaw inspected and checked by a qualified service centre.
WARNING
: When the chain brake engages, immediately release the trigger switch (6) to relieve
the engine.
In case of continuous operation, while the brake is engaged, may overheat the clutch
and cause damages.
4.13.3- Chain Brake – Release
To reuse the chainsaw, the chain brake must be released.
Switch off the machine, then pull the front hand guard (3) vertically (
Fig.6) until it locks.
The chain brake is operational again
4.14- Engine Start and Stop
Check the oil level prior to each use of the chainsaw and, if required, refill with saw chain oil.
Check the function of the chain brake prior to each use.
Before starting the chainsaw, ensure to loosen the chain brake, by pulling the front hand guard (3)
towards the front handle.
Wear appropriate protective equipment according to your work.
The chainsaw should only be used with an extension cord that is designed and certified for
outdoor use and that can fit the plug of the machine.
1- Connect power cable (8) to an extension cord (h) (not supplied) (Fig.9).
2- Attach the extension cord to the cable holder (9) to prevent any damage from inadvertent excessive
force pulling (see Fig.9).
3- Connect extension cord to mains power source.
4- Hold chainsaw with left hand on front handle and right hand on back handle.
Note: Maintain a firm grip, with thumbs and fingers encircling the chainsaw handles (see Fig.10).
5- To start the engine (Fig.11):
- Press the lock button (5) with your thumb and hold it down.
- Press the ON/OFF trigger switch (6) and hold it down.
- Release the lock button (5) (*).
6- To stop the chainsaw
- Release the ON/OFF trigger switch (6).
(*)
It is not necessary to keep the lock button (5) depressed after the start of the chainsaw.
The lock button is intended to prevent any inadvertent starting of the chainsaw.
