Attaching the Head Board and Foot Board
Install Casters on Head Board and Foot Board by inserting the shaft into
the socket of each bed leg. To prevent access movement, place Locking
Casters on each end of the bed on opposite sides and lock Casters
by pushing down on the caster lock. Pull up on the Locking Casters to
unlock.
Attach the Head Board and Foot Board mounting hooks
to the mounting rivets on the Head Spring and Foot Spring
(Fig. 3).

Install the head end of the spring loaded Hi/Lo
Shaft by pulling back and then releasing it into
the gear box on the Foot Board making sure the
slot engages with the roll pin on the gear box
axle (Fig. 4).
Installing the Motor
Note: Before Installing the Motor, be sure Pendant and Hi/Lo Motor cable are
plugged in and connect a 9V battery (sold separately). This will allow the Motor
to be operated to return to the bed to the flat position in the event of a power
failure.

Slide off the Locking Caps on top
of the Motor and make sure the
two Motor blocks are retracted. If
not, press the “down” button on
the pendant until retracted (Fig. 5).
Raise the Head Spring to the highest position, align the head end of the Motor
with the flange on the actuator bar and press until Motor assembly snaps into
place.

Once the head section of the motor is attached, return the bed to the flat
position and repeat for the foot end of the motor.
Once motor is completely attached, slide
the locking caps back into place (Fig. 6.)
