ADJUSTMENT AND USE OF YOUR SHOOTOUT
Plug the adapter into a suitable 120v household outlet and into the back of the scoring unit.
Each player has 30 seconds to make as many baskets as they can.During the first 20 seconds
each shot counts as 2 points. During the last 10 seconds each shot counts as 3 points.
Press the “RESET” button at the back of Electronic Scorer to start a new game.
NOTE:
You may also need to move the unit if you cannot get it to score correctly.
Sunlight or halogen lighting will have an effect on the sensors causing them to not
function properly. If the unit is relocated at a later date, the test procedure must be
repeated as explained below.
NOTE:
If you feel the performance of the electronic scoring sensors still do not function
properly, please follow these steps:
Step1:
Push the “Play/Test” switch to “Test”.
Step2:
To begin with the “Test” mode, the scorer should have “88” “88” “88” showing on the
electronic scoring display. Place a ball slowly at the top of the rim to test the top scoring sensor.
The top electronics sensor will read the ball and the electronic scorer should display changes
from “88” to “18” and making a “buzzing sound”. Then slowly place the ball at the bottom
of the rim to test the bottom electronic sensor. The bottom sensor will read the ball and the
electronic scorer should display changes from “88” to “81” and making a “buzzing sound”.
You have now calibrated the scoring sensors for the present light conditions.
If light conditions change, this same recalibration of the electronic scoring sensors may be
required for proper operation of the electronics scoring sensors.
Step3:
Push the “Test” mode switch to “Play” to start your game.
NOTE:
There may be some types of shots that will not score every time.If two balls pass through
the rim at the same time it will not register both shots,The unit may also register a shot
when the ball passes quickly in front of the rim. These situations are normal.
