12.0 MAINTENANCE
For continuing high performance, and to minimize possible equipment failure, it is essen-
tial that periodic maintenance be performed on this equipment. Consult your local dealer
as to the proper frequency of maintenance and the availability of a maintenance con-
tract.
IMPORTANT: Before performing any service or maintenance procedures, see “WARN-
INGS” in SECTION 1.0 SAFETY INFORMATION in these installation instructions.
12.1 AIR FILTER
Check the system filter every ninety days or as often as found to be necessary and if
obstructed, clean or replace at once.
IMPORTANT: Do not operate the system without a filter in place.
PRE-START CHECK
Is unit properly located, level, secure and service-
able?
Has auxiliary pan been provided under the unit with
separate drain? (Units installed above a finished
ceiling).
Is condensate line properly sized, run, trapped,
pitched and tested?
Have the supply duct flanges on the unit been
turned up?
Is ductwork correctly sized, run, taped and insulat-
ed?
have all cabinet openings and wiring been sealed
with caulking?
Is the indoor coil flowcheck piston and valve size
correct?
Is the filter clean, in place and of adequate size?
Is the wiring tight, correct and to the wiring diagram?
Is the unit properly grounded and protected (fuse)?
Is the thermostat heat anticipator been set properly?
Is the unit circuit breaker(s) rotated properly “on” up
- “off” down?
Are the unit circuit breaker(s) line lug cover(s) in
place?
Are all access panels in place and secure?
