Siding Extends

Step 3

Assemble Front Gable

1.

Assemble another gable frame. Install a 36" long 2x4 between the wall

studs. If installing operating loft doors, install the 36" long 2x4 between
the gable studs where shown below.

3.

Cut siding from the loft door opening, flush with the edge of the opening.

If you don't need loft access from the outside, attach loft door frames to
the gable to create a decorative look and weather tight storage area.

2.

Turn the gable over. Install the siding extending 3/4" below the bottom 2x4.
