Magnetic Stray Fields
The speaker systems of
Re:sound S center 02 are
magnetically shielded so that
magnetic stray fields outside of
the housing limits in most cases
are so faint that they don´t
cause any distortion of video
pictures (this is not true for the
front side of the speaker).
However, there are extremely
sensitive television sets, some
of which must be aligned even
depending an their orientation in
relation to the magnetic field of
the earth. When color
distortions occur you should
demagnetize your device. Same
devices have for that purpose a
special degaussing button,
others are degaussed when
being switched on. In this case
switch off the device by
completely separating it from
power feeding. If then color
distortions still should occur, it is
recommended to enlarge the
space between Re:sound S
center 02 and your television
set.

Plasma and LCD screens are
insensitive against magnetic
irradiation.
Positioning
The loudspeaker can be
positioned both vertically and
horizontally. The sound centers
of the individual speakers are
narrow and the crossover-
frequency between woofer
medium speaker and tweeter
are set low. Nevertheless we
recommend the vertical position
since this one leads to a better
horizontal sound distribution. lt
guarantees a stable sound
impression over a wide listening
zone.
The horizontal position can
bring with it losses of sound,
even though very low ones. If
the Re:sound S center 02 is
used in the front as a center
Ioudspeaker in a homecinema
application, the listening seat
should be Iocated in an angle of
about 15 degrees to the center.
That corresponds to a listening
width of 1.6 m with a listening
distance of 3 m or to a listening
width of 2,15 m with a listening
distance of 4 m to the Re:sound
S center 02. (w = d / 3,73)
The speaker has two bass
reflex tubes at the rear side.
Keep a distance of at least 10
cm between loudspeaker rear-
side and the wall behind the
loudspeaker to warrant a proper
function of the bass reflex
openings.
Use the self-adhesive rubber
feet enclosed.
