6. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
6.1 Method of use
a)
Open the water tank lid (1). Fill the tank with distilled or demineralized water until reaching the
MAX (15).
b)
Open the door using handle (13).
c)
Turn on the appliance using the main switch (10).
d)
Place the instruments on the supplied Trays without overlapping the packets. The maximum load is
3 Kg.
e)
Keep button (3) depressed to allow water to enter the chamber [check indicator light (4)]. When the
water reaches the upper edge of the panel 814) in front of the chamber, release the button (3) and
make sure that the indicator light (4) is off.
f)
Shut the door using the handle 813).
g)
Select the required sterilizing cycle with button (12).
h)
Select the required sterilizing time (8). It may vary depending on the load of instruments, the type
of material and the temperature of the internal chamber [cycle start with autoclave hot or cold].
i)
To dry the instruments in the correct way, it is advisable to purchase our accessory M9050 "vertical
packet support" which can hold up to 20 packets. If the supplied Trays are used, only use the
perforated ones. Arrange the packets with the transparent plastic part pointing downwards to
facilitate the drying operation.
j)
If very delicate articles are sterilized, it is advisable to remove them immediately after the cycle has
terminated or even during the drying phase (5), after having made sure that the pressure gauge (9)
has set to "0" position.
k)
Whenever a cycle is carried out, place an indicator in the sterilizing chamber to make sure that
sterilizing has taken place (type TERMALOG or VAPOR LINE EXTENDER).
l)
When the timer reaches the (8A) position, the drying cycle will begin (5) and the water will be
drained from the chamber.
m)
The sterilizing process will have terminated when the timer reaches "0" position. It will now be
possible to cautiously open the door after having made sure that the pressure gauge (9) has set to
"0" position.
n)
The machine will switch off automatically at the end of the cycle. A "vacuum" may form if the door
is not opened immediately, making it difficult to open the door (see point (o).
o)
Set the select (12) to "0" position. Set selector (8) to pos. 3. The green warning light (5) will come
on and air will enter the chamber to make the door easier to open.
p)
If the instruments are still wet after they have been sterilized, proceed in the following way to
complete the drying process.
- leave the door ajar;
- select cycle 121° or 134° (12);
- move selector (8) back to pos. 3 (dry);
- now repeat the drying cycle which will stop automatically.
q)
Use the supplied key and wear gloves to remove the objects from the chamber.
r)
After the door has been opened, stand about 50 cm from the appliance since there could still be
steam inside and this could cause scalding.
s)
Open the door with care using handle (13), moving it in an upward direction and watching the
pressure gauge (9) which must always remain in zero position If there are no obstructions, the door
can be easily opened by moving handle (13) from the right towards the left..
t)
If the door is not opened immediately after the sterilizing cycle has terminated, condensed water
vapour may form on its surface and may drip off on opening.
