Operation
Do not reach into the insertion slot with your fingers. Do not insert paper clips or
other metallic objects into the insertion slot.
Persons with long hair must ensure to maintain sufficient distance from the insertion
slot.
Keep ties, scarves, loose clothing and long necklaces or bracelets away from the
insertion slot.
Do not use any spray bottles/cans in the immediate vicinity of the product.
The top of the product will become hot during use. Do not touch.
Do not use this product with cardboard carrier sheets. This may cause jamming or
damage to the product.
Only use suitable hot laminating pouches for hot lamination.
Cardboard document pockets must not be used with this laminator as these can
lead to material jams or damage to the device.
Never insert a pouch with the open edge first into the insertion slot. Do not laminate
heat-sensitive material such as thermal paper. The items to be laminated should be
completely dry in order to achieve a satisfying result.
Do not cut lamination pouches to your desired size, as cutting edges could cause
a jam.
Exercise caution when removing hot laminated items from the output slot.
Ensure that the operating switch is in the OFF/O position before you connect the
mains plug to the mains socket.
a) Hot lamination
Familiarise yourself with the device before you start working. It is recommended that you per-
form a test lamination to familiarise yourself with the device and to ensure that the device is
functioning properly. Do not use important documents for the test lamination.
• Insert the mains plug into a mains socket.
• For hot lamination, switch the ON/OFF operating switch (3) to the ON/I position. The PO-
WER LED (1) lights up and the device heats up slowly. After 3-5 minutes, the READY
operating LED (2) lights up as soon as the correct operating temperature has been reached.
The device is ready for laminating.
• Choose a suitable pouch for the item being laminated.
• Insert the item to be laminated into the pouch, alongside the sealed edge of the pouch.
The film used must not exceed a thickness of 2 x 125 μ.
• Slide the pouch with the closed edge first into the insertion slot (4) to prevent damage to
the device. Once it is captured by the rollers, it moves through the product and exits in
laminated form at the rear.
Do not insert the open side of the film into the laminator.
• Switch the product off after use (operating switch in OFF/0 position).
• Remove the mains plug.
• Before storing the product (e.g. in a cupboard), allow it to cool down for approx. 10 - 15 mi-
nutes until it has reached room temperature.
b) Troubleshooting
• If a stuck laminating film cannot be pulled out of the laminator, remove the mains plug and
press the release switch (5) to be able to pull out the laminating film.
• If the laminator cannot start normally, check the following items:
- Ensure that the device is connected and switched on and that the fuse in the plug is
working properly.
- Check that there is no material jam.
• Allow the laminator to cool down for 40 minutes if the motor has overheated and the over-
heat safeguard has been triggered. The overheat safeguard is self-resetting. The laminator
should be ready for operation again automatically after cooling down.
Care and cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning. Disconnect the power plug
from the mains outlet and let the product cool down until it has reached room temperature.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may
damage the enclosure or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. Do not apply too much pressure to the housing
as this may cause scratch marks.
• You can easily remove dust using a long-haired, soft and clean brush.
• Clean the reels periodically after hot lamination. To do so, insert an A4 sheet of paper in
landscape orientation into the insertion slot. Any residues on the reels will stick to the paper.
Repeat this process several times.
• Never remove the cover or open and disassemble the device. There are no user-servicea-
ble parts inside the device.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable
regulatory guidelines.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to protection of the environ-
ment.
