Meaning of symbols
The symbol with the lightning in the triangle is used if there is a risk to your
health, e.g. due to an electric shock.
This symbol indicates particular hazards during handling or operation.
The “arrow” symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
This symbol indicates that this product is built according to protection
class II. It is equipped with reinforced or dual insulation between the
mains circuit and the output voltage.
The device was constructed according to protection class III. Protection
class III includes electrical devices with a low voltage power supply (< 50
volts) using a safety transformer or batteries/rechargeable batteries/
solar energy etc. Devices in protection class III have no connection for
protective insulation - they must not be connected to the protective earth.
Short-circuit proof safety transformer in accordance with EN61558-2-6 /
EN61558-2-17.
Pay attention to the operating instructions!
Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the
warranty/guarantee.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may
become dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable
gases, vapours and solvents.
•
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a
low height can damage the product.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of
operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no
longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
-
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children without supervision. Children shall not play with the appliance.
•
Attention, LED light:
- Do not look directly into the LED light!
- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• The pump is built according to protection class III and IPX8.
• The mains plug must not get wet or damp. When placing the fountain,
ensure that the water does not flow along the mains cable towards the
mains plug. The mains cable must form a drip loop. There is a risk of a
fatal electric shock!
•
Only the pump and the electricity cable that connects it may come into
direct contact with water. Under no circumstances should the other parts
come into contact with water.
• The pump must only be connected to and operated on a mains plug which
is connected via an upstream residual current circuit breaker with a
maximum trip current of 30 mA.
• The mains socket that the power adapter is plugged into must be easily
accessible.
•
As power supply, only use the supplied mains adapter.
•
Only connect the power adapter to a normal mains socket connected to
the public supply. Before plugging in the power adapter, check whether
the voltage stated on the power adapter complies with the voltage of your
electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect power adapters if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the
cable; always use the grips on the plug.
•
When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched,
kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
•
Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled
in them. This poses a risk of injury.
•
For safety reasons, disconnect the power adapter from the mains socket
during storms.
• If the pump, the mains cable or the power adapter is damaged, do not
touch it - there is a risk of a fatal electric shock! First, switch off the
mains voltage to the mains socket to which the wall plug transformer is
connected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the
safety fuse, then switch off at the corresponding RCD protective switch,
so that all poles of the mains socket are disconnected). You can then
unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of the
faulty wall plug transformer in an environmentally friendly way; do not use
it any more. Replace it with a wall plug transformer of the same design.
•
A damaged mains cable cannot be replaced! Stop using the pump and
dispose of it in an environmentally-friendly manner.
• Only operate the pump when it is fully submerged under water. The pump
is not designed to be run dry. This will quickly destroy the pump and
invalidate the guarantee/warranty.
• The pump is only designed to pump water (tempe1 to +35 °C). Do
not use any other liquids.
•
Ensure that the water inlet on the top of the fountain is not blocked by
stones, dirt or other objects. The water tank may become empty if the
water overflows. This can damage the pump (due to it running dry) or
cause water damage to other objects.
• Never reach into the water tank when the pump is turned on. Remove the
power adapter from the mains socket before reaching into the water tank.
•
Always pay attention to the
MIN
and
MAX
water level markings.
• Caution! When cleaning the fountain, beware of sharp and rough edges.
Wear protective gloves when cleaning to prevent injuries.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of
the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively
by an expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating
instructions, contact our technical support service or other technical
personnel.
