Before drilling the attachment holes, make sure that the electric cables, brake lines,
the fuel tank or similar systems will not be damaged.
When using tools for mounting your device, observe the tools manufacturers’ safety
instructions.
When installing the lamp, take into consideration the risks that can arise from devices
being torn away in the event of an accident. Therefore, fasten each part securely and in
a location where it will not pose a risk to passengers.
• Look for a suitable installation site.
• Remove the annular orifice from the housing.
• At the installation site, mark the location of the holes for the attachment screws and the location
of one hole for the cable exit under the cable duct. Use the lamp itself as a template for the at-
tachment holes.
• Drill the holes for the attachment screws (diameter: 2 mm) and the cable duct (diameter: 10 mm).
• Attach the lamp with the provided screws or other screws suitable for the mounting face.
• Then replace the annular orifice on the lamp housing.
Connecting the Power Supply
The electric connection should always be carried out by a specialist.
To avoid short circuits and any resulting damage to the device, the negative terminal
(chassis) of the vehicle battery has to be disconnected first.
Before reconnecting the negative terminal to the battery, ensure that the lamp has
been completely connected.
Only use a volt meter, or a diode test lamp, to check the voltage of the vehicle system
leads, as normal test lamps consume excessive voltage and may thus damage the
vehicle’s electronics.
When installing cables make sure that the connection cables are not squeezed or
damaged by sharp edges. Use rubber bushings for penetrations.
• Connect the red connection cable with the positive voltage supply (12-24 V).
This cable should be protected with an appropriate fuse in the circuit and connected to the on-
board electrical system in order to be able to turn on and off the lamp.
This switch can be, e.g. a light switch in a caravan or camper, a door contact switch if the lamp
has been built in a cabinet.
Ensure under any circumstances the sufficient dimensioning of the switch, viz. its capacity must
at least correspond with the total current consumption of all connected consumers.
The fuse value conforms to the power input of all users connected to the lead.
• Connect the black connection cable with the negative voltage supply (ground).
Maintenance and Cleaning
This lamp is maintenance-free.
Only clean it with a slightly moistened cloth. Never use cleaning agents as these can damage the
surface of the casing.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclables and must not be disposed of in the household
waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
