• When a 12 V supply is available, connect it to the terminals marked with 12 V AC or DC
at the back of the caller unit. In addition, there are also terminals marked and
for the connection to an electric door opener which can be remotely opened
by the handset. When a 12 V supply is available, the Call button (1) will be
automatically illuminated once the surrounding gets dark. This and the electric door
latch opening feature will only be available when using 12 V supply.

If you are using a 12 V supply but the electric door latch does not function,
reverse the polarity connected to 12 V AC or DC and try again.
The two most common types of commercially available door latches are either
fail-safe or fail-secure door latches.
Fail-safe door latch (NO contact)
The two terminals (A + B) normally provide a 12 V supply. Once the Doorlock
open button (9) is pressed, this voltage will drop to 0 V temporarily for
10 seconds. Always release the PTT button (12) before you press the
Doorlock open button.
