Connection and Getting Started
• Before you can begin, unpack the product and its accessories.
• Connect your audio device to the music receiver first.
To do this, use the 3.5 mm jack output for analogue connection of, e.g. your stereo
system or PC speakers with the product. You can also directly connect the head-
phones with a 3.5mm jack to the device.
If your device, on which you want to operate the receiver, has an optical Toslink
input, we recommend that you use that. The audio signal is transmitted digitally in
this case. You may have to enable the SPDIF input on your home device first. Please
observe the operating instructions of the device in question.
• Connect the AC adapter to the power socket now and insert it into a mains socket.
Once the device is started, the blue LED flashes once every 5 seconds and is ready
for pairing.
Connection with NFC (Android 4.1 or higher)
• The easiest way to connect to the receiver is when your smartphone or tablet sup-
ports NFC. Android 4.1 or higher should also be installed as the operating system. If
NFC is not supported by your device, proceed to the section titled “Manually estab-
lishing the Bluetooth
®
connection” now.
• Before you can use NFC, you must activate it on your device first. You can find the
function in the Connections section under Settings.
• Once NFC is active, you just have to place your device on top of the music receiver.
Shortly thereafter, a pop-up window should appear which asks if you want to pair
with the Bluetooth
®
device.
Confirm the message by clicking “OK”.
Warning. The pop-up prompt may not appear in some devices. In this case,
no further intervention is required.
• Bluetooth
®
is automatically activated, if necessary, and the connection is estab-
lished. Once connected, the blue LED shows steady light.
• Proceed now to the “Play” section.
Manually establishing the Bluetooth
®
connection
• Now activate Bluetooth
®
on the device with which you want to transfer the audio
data to the music receiver. You will find the function in the Connections Section un-
der Settings, e.g. in an Android smartphone. In Apple iOS, you can find the function
in the Bluetooth Section under Settings.
• Once the “Music Receiver” device is displayed, tap it to pair, e.g. your smartphone
with the receiver. If there is still no other device connected to the music receiver,
this is automatically selected for playing. Once connected, the blue LED shows
steady light.
Play
• Now you can play any audio file on your device. The sound is automatically output
at the Bluetooth
®
receiver. Depending on the device, it is also possible to switch the
output between the Bluetooth
®
music receiver and your device that allows you to
play the files.
• It is, of course, also possible to play a video. You may view it on your tablet, for
instance and the sound is output at the receiver or the device connected there.
• Playing the music or controlling the volume is on your smartphone or tablet as usual.
Disconnecting the Bluetooth
®
connection
• To disconnect your device from the receiver, go back to the Bluetooth
®
settings and
close the connection. You can also simply turn off the Bluetooth
®
connection.
Warning. While multiple devices may be partly paired to the receiver via
Bluetooth
®
, only one of them can be connected for playing the audio. If you
want to use another device, you must disable the first one.

Intended Use
The device is used for wireless reception of audio data via Bluetooth
®
. The audio
signals are output either at the 3.5 mm jack output or the optical SPDIF port.
Almost all of the devices that support Bluetooth
®
3.0 and higher and play audio or
video can be used for transmission.
The device also supports NFC. This allows you to pair your, e.g. smartphone with this
device via Bluetooth
®
by simply placing it on the receiver.
Read these operating instructions completely and carefully as they contain very im-
portant information about installation, operation and handling. Observe all safety in-
structions!

• The design of the AC adapter complies with Protection Class II.
• The outlet for the AC adapter must be located in direct proximity to the
device and easily accessible.
• The product and the AC adapter are suitable only for dry indoor areas.
Do not expose product components to direct sunlight, strong heat, cold,
dampness or wetness; otherwise it may be damaged.
The AC adapter poses the risk of a potentially life-threatening electric
shock!
• This product is not a toy. Devices operated using mains voltages should
not be used by children. Position the product so it is out of the reach of
children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental falls, even from a low height.
• Do not pull the AC adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
• Do not touch an AC adapter that shows signs of damage; there is a danger
to life from electric shock!
Switch off the power supply to the outlet to which the AC adapter is con-
nected (e.g. switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the
safety fuse and then switch off the corresponding RCD). Now disconnect
the AC adapter from the outlet and take the product to a specialized work-
shop.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
