Assemble the interferometer assembly and mount
the beam steerer onto the input face of the beam
splitter as shown� Ensure that the levers are in
their mid-position�

Mount to the stationary element of the machine:
•

as close as possible, minimising the distance
between the optics;

•

square to the axis; and

•

parallel to the retroreflector.

Attach the target to the beam steerer and align it
with the beam�
