3. Executing the self-check
Executing the self-check
Enable this function when you want the emulator to be self-checked at
startup. Be sure to select the check box only when you want the
emulator to be self-checked at startup.
This function may be enabled in the following cases:
- When you are using the emulator you have just installed.
- When you successfully download the firmware, but fail to start up
the emulator.
- When you want to confirm whether the emulator is operating
normally because, for example, the MCU runs out of control or
something is wrong with the trace results.
This function can be enabled only when you are starting up the
emulator debugger.
4. Using or not using the address match break function
Using or not using the address match break
function
Specify whether or not to use the address match break function.

To use the address match break function (default)
Check this box. In this case, the address match interrupt is used by
the emulator, and cannot be used in the user program.

When not using the address match break function
Deselect the check box. In this case, the address match interrupt can
be used in the user program.
This option can be selected or deselected only when you are starting up
the emulator debugger.
5. Using or not using CPU rewrite mode
Using or not using CPU rewrite mode
Specify whether or not to debug in CPU rewrite mode. To debug the
user system that uses CPU rewrite mode, check this box. This option
can be selected or deselected only when you are starting up the
emulator debugger.
[Notes]
When debugging in CPU rewrite mode is enabled, the following
functions cannot be used while executing the user program:
- Setting the address match breakpoint
- Software breakpoint setting in the internal ROM area
