Prerequisites

•  Crystal oscillator (with pins wired as shown in Fig. 4-8)

Procedure

①

Prepare the IE-78044-R-EM and the wired break board.

②

Remove the external clock component block from the  socket (socket labeled X1 USRCLK) on the IE-78044-
R-EM.

③

Mount the crystal oscillator in socket X1 USRCLK.
Connect the crystal resonator to the socket pins as illustrated next.
