7.3. Storage and (re-)Packing
When not using the i-speak or accessories for an extended period, store them clean and
dry in the carrying case.
Remove the battery from the device when you do not use the device over a long period.
Keep metal parts away from the battery contacts to prevent shorts.
Batteries will deplete and might lose their performance when stored. The depletion time
strongly depends on the ambient temperature. The higher the ambient temperature, the
more often re-charge is required. The following time-temperature table indicates
re-charge cycles:
1 year
: -20° ~ +25°C.
3 months
: -20° ~ +45°C.
1 month
: -20° ~ +60°C.
Stacking uncased discs or storing them at an angle can cause them to warp and result in
reading problems.
7.4. Transport
Always shut down, disconnect the power adapter and accessories when moving the
device. Carry then the device by using the carrying handle. When being transported, store
the i-Speak into the carrying case to protect against bumps, shocks and dirt.
The i-Speak will be delivered in its original pack containing accessories. The shipping label
will note the correct conditions for delivery. A return label is available on the last page of
the printed user manual. Please add this label on the outside of the transport packaging
when you return the device for service or any other reason. Always contact your distributor
or the manufacturer before returning goods.
Transport and storage conditions:
-25°C to +5°C.
+5°C to +35°C at a relative humidity up to 90 %, non-condensing.
+35°C to +60°C at a water vapour pressure up to 50 hPa.
Keep the packaging dry and avoid direct sunlight. Let the i-Speak and its parts acclimatise
to room temperate before using them.

Disposal & recycling information
The European Union’s WEEE directive requires that products sold in EU countries
must have the crossed-out trashbin label on products and batteries.
This cross-out trashbin label means that customers and end-users should not
dispose of electronic and electrical equipment or accessories in household waste.
Dispose of packaging in an environmentally- friendly manner.
Prevent potential damage to the environment and human health.
Please ask your supplier or local authorities about current disposal facilities or disposal in
countries outside of the European Union.
Caution for disposal of batteries:
• Follow all safety notice for batteries.
• Prevent short circuit of battery terminals. For example, insulate them with tape.
