C
Caauuttiioonn!! Read and understand the instruction before using the product.
C
Caauuttiioonn!! Ensure that the installation complies with local safety
regulations.
C
Caauuttiioonn!! Before installation or maintenance, the power supply should first
be disconnected. Installation or maintenance of this unit should only be
carried out by qualified personnel. The manufacturer is not responsible
for any eventual damage or injury caused by inadequate skills during instal-
lation, or through removal of or deactivation of any security devices.
C
Caauuttiioonn!! Always protect the pressure regulator by using strainers up-
stream of the valve. Make sure that the water quality complies with UNI
8065 standards (Fe < 0.5 mg/kg and Cu < 0.1 mg/kg). Furthermore, the
maximum iron oxide in the water passing through the control valve
(PICV) should not exceed 25 mg/kg (25 ppm). To ensure the main pipe-
work is cleaned appropriately, flushing by-passes should be used without
flushing through the pressure regulator of the PICV thereby preventing
debris that might clog the valve.
During cleaning operation of the valve use a damp cloth, ddoo nnoott use any
detergent or chemical solvent that could seriously damage the parts.
Function
The PCMTV valves can be adjusted very flexibly. They can be accurately
set to a specific flow rate value and allow precise modulating control.
The valve flow characteristics (linear and equal percentage) can be
selected using the actuator. It is also possible to set any flow rate value
and to maintain it stable. Since flow rate is the only parameter to be
considered, choosing the suitable valve is easy and fast.

Installation
The PCMTV DN50-250 is available in 5 different sizes. O-rings are
supplied with the valve body and are used to seal the connections. It is
recommended to grease the O-rings with silicone grease.
Please make sure the O-rings are properly placed in the O-ring grooved
on valve inlet and outlet, before installing the housing.
Fitting and re-fitting the actuator
Grease the O-ring on the spindle adaptor with silicone grease before
placing the spindle adaptor on the valve spindle.
Place the actuator on the spindle adaptor (1) and place the three
actuator "legs" into the three holes in the mounting bracket (see figures
below). Make sure the snap ring is locked at the top of the mounting
bracket, but still able to rotate. Use your fingers to turn the snap ring
counter (2) clockwise (upside view) approximately 1/6 of a turn until its
stop points touch the actuator "legs" and the mounting is locked with a
(small) click. Do not use additional tools.
