ENCODING / RECORDING MODE
MP3 ENCODING
The system enables CDs, cassettes or records to be encoded in MP3 format on
storage media (USB sticks) via the USB port.
CD encoding
1. Select a title to be encoded and recorded and start playback.
2. While the title is playing, press the RECORD button (9/38) .
3. "REC" appears in the DISPLAY (18) .
4. Press the RECORD button (9/38) again and recording will start. "USB"
flashes in the DISPLAY (18) .
5. Press the STOP button (32) to end the recording.
NOTE CD ENCODING:

The recording can be ended manually with the STOP button (32) .

If the recording is not stopped manually, the recording continues until
the end of the CD.

The recording speed is 1: 1 and corresponds to the playing time of
the CD track.

The system creates a “RECORD” folder in which the encoded tracks
are saved.

The recording format is preset to an MP3 bit rate of 128 kbps and a
sampling rate of 44.1 kHz.

Song titles are not recorded during encoding mode.

To interrupt the recording, press the RECORD button (9/38) again
during the process.

The recording is only completed when a complete title has been
encoded. If you cancel the encoding process before it is finished, no
title will be recorded and will not be saved on the USB storage
medium (USB stick).
Copy an MP3 / WMA file:
1. If you have inserted an MP3 / WMA disc instead of a normal CD, press the
RECORD button (9/38) twice to copy the tracks to the USB storage
medium.
2. The procedure corresponds to that for the CD encoding described above.
3. Please note that the system only switches to copy mode when the MP3 /
WMA file is being read.
PHONO (vinyl record) encoding
1. Insert a USB stick into the USB SOCKET (13) .
2. Press the PHONO button (31) .
3. Now start playback in turntable mode.
4. Press the RECORD button (9/38) and "REC" appears on the display.
