Use the on/off switch (1) to turn the remote control on/off. When the remote control is switched on, the red LED (2) will
stay constant to indicate that the remote control is connected to the receiver.
When the batteries are almost empty and drop below a certain voltage level, the red LED indicator (2) will flash and
the remote control will beep at regular intervals to indicate that the batteries need to be replaced. If this happens,
discontinue use immediately, as exhausted batteries drastically reduce the range of the remote control and may cause
you to lose control of the model boat. Always replace all of the batteries at the same time.
When the remote control is switched on, the red LED indicator (2) will flash to indicate that the remote control is in
pairing mode. In pairing mode, the remote control attempts to connect to the receiver in the boat (the boat battery must
be connected). After a few seconds (if pairing was successful), the red LED indicator (2) will stay constant.
Use the steering wheel (3) to control the direction of travel. Turn the wheel left to move the boat to the left, or right to
move the boat to the right.
Use the trim rocker (4) to set the neutral position of the rudder. If the boat moves to the left when the steering wheel
is the neutral position, move the trim rocker to the right until the boat moves in a straight line. The remote control will
beep each time you move the trim rocker. A longer beep is played when the trim rocker reaches the central position.
Use the switch (5) on the top of the remote control to set the rudder deflection (dual rate function). Move the switch
upwards to set the rudder deflection to the maximum setting. Move the switch downwards to reduce the rudder deflec
-
tion (recommended for the first few attempts).
Use the "TH.REV" switch (6) to reverse the throttle lever.
Use the "ST.REV" switch (7) to reverse the direction of the steering servo.
These two switches are configured correctly by default. Use the switches if you wish to reverse the function
of the steering wheel or throttle lever.
Use the throttle lever (8) to adjust the speed. Pull the lever towards the handle to move the boat forwards. Pull more on
the lever to make the motor turn faster and increase the speed. The motor is off when the lever is the central position.
Pushing the lever forwards will make the boat reverse.
The remote control antenna (9) is shown in figure 2. The antenna should not point directly at the boat or at the ground,
as this reduces the transmission range.
