17. Troubleshooting
Even though the model and the remote control system were built to the state of the art, there may still be malfunctions
or faults. For this reason, we would like to give you some information on how to deal with possible problems.
Problem
Transmitter doesn’t respond.
The transmitter turns off straight away
or after a short while.
The range of the system is very short.
Rotors do not start.
Helicopter does not lift off the ground.
Model does not fly stable.
Model always drifts in one direction.
Remedy/Cause
• Check batteries in the transmitter.
• Check polarity of the batteries.
• Check the on/off switch.
• Repeat binding of transmitter and receiver.
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter or replace them.
• Check batteries in the transmitter and the model.
• Slide the control stick for the pitch function to the bottom position (engine
off) and additionally slide the trim slider for the pitch function into the
bottom position.
• Flight battery not charged or defective.
• Gear/drive is sluggish.
• Check motors.
• Rotor blades too tight.
• Rotor shaft bent.
• Rotor blades unbalanced.
• Readjust transmitter trimming.
• Adjusting the swash plate control.
