Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Device
5.1.1
DC-DC PoE
The Power over Ethernet (PoE) power injector provides power to the wireless sector
controller using spare conductors on the Ethernet cable. The power input may be 10-30
VDC. All Ethernet conductors are isolated (ETH and PoE) and have surge protection
circuitry.

Ethernet Port
Connect this port to to the local 10/100Base-T network device. Data signals are passed
transparently between this port and the PoE port.
PoE Port
Connect this port to to the cable leading to the wireless sector controller Ethernet port.
: System installation must include a dedicated surge protection device for
the Ethernet cable at the point of cable ingress into the shelter or cabinet. Refer to the
installation section for details.
