6.1.2 Evaluating TDM Throughput Requirements
The options key (section 5.7) for each system controls the specific for the number of
enabled TDM ports (1, 2, 4 or 8), and the data speed (modulation and coding). Each
TDM port requires a minimum over-the-air bandwidth for correct operation. If data
traffic is also being transmitted on the same link, you may be required to purchase an
options key providing additional bandwidth (higher modulation/coding). If the link
budget of the deployment is marginal, other hardware upgrades may be necessary to
increase the system capacity (i.e., larger antenna).
The following tables list the required bandwidth for operating E1 and T1 over the
wireless link. The values provided indicate the (error-free) bandwidth that must be
available exclusively for the TDM traffic.

6.1.3 Mobility
Networks
The AN-30e can be deployed in most mobility networks. Some networks can have
characteristics that are exceptional and should be reviewed based on actual customer
network configurations. The following figure illustrates a typical mobility backhaul
deployment using the AN-30e wireless system.
