1.5 Soft Start Charging Process
SOFT-START
When the Charger is turned on, it will start ramping current from 0 A up to the full rated
current, this is called Soft-Start and usually takes around 30 seconds. Once the full rated
current is reached the charger will move into Boost stage. The soft start charging process
only applies to the BCDC1250D.

There is a maximum 20 second delay before the charger will produce an output any time a source is introduced
into the system, this allows the unit to provide optimum input sharing and effective battery isolation.
