6. Safety instructions for drilling
screwdrivers
Hold the tool by the insulated gripping
surfaces, when performing an operation
where the pressure fitting may touch
some hidden wiring or its own power
cord. Pressure fittings that touch an
“active” wire can cause the exposed
metal parts of the tool to become “active”
and the operator could be shocked.
7. Treatment and careful use of
accumulator-driven tools
a) Before using the charger and the battery
pack, read the instruction and use manual
and the safety instructions.
b) Only recharge the battery with the
supplied charger. There is a risk of fire
when attempting to charge accumulators
of a different type than that provided for
the charger.
c) Use the power tools only with the
supplied battery. The use of other types
of accumulators can cause damage and
even a fire.
d) If you do not use the battery, keep it
separate from metal objects, such as
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or
other metal objects that could bridge your
contacts. The short circuit of the battery
contacts can cause burns or a fire.
e) Improper use of the accumulator can
cause liquid leaks and / or emanate
vapors. Avoid contact with the liquid.
In case of accidental contact, rinse the
affected area with plenty of water. In
case of contact with the eyes, also resort
immediately to medical help. Accumulator
fluid can irritate the skin or cause burns.
In the case of vapors emanation, look for
an environment with fresh air and see
a doctor if you notice discomfort. The
vapors of the accumulator can irritate the
respiratory tract.
f) Do not use damaged or modified batteries
or chargers. Damaged or modified
batteries may behave unpredictably and
produce a fire, explosion or injury hazard.
g) Do not expose a battery pack or power
tool to fire or to too high a temperature.
Exposure to fire or temperatures above
130 ° C may cause an explosion. Avoid
prolonged exposure of the battery pack to
the sun.
h) Follow all instructions for charging
and never charge the accumulator or
power tool at a temperature outside
the corresponding range specified in
the instructions. Improper charging or
temperatures outside the specified range
can damage the battery and increase the
risk of fire.
i) Do not try to open the accumulator. It could
cause a short circuit.
j) During charging the accumulator can heat
up. Avoid being in contact with flammable
elements or materials.
k) Do not expose the battery to moisture,
rain or splashing water. In case the
accumulator gets wet, dry it immediately.
l) Remove the battery pack from the power
tool before doing any internal work.
m) Protect the impact accumulator package.
n) If the charger cable is damaged, it should
only be repaired by the technical service
or by a qualified professional.
8. Additional safety instructions
a) Secure the work piece. A work piece fixed
with a clamping device, or in a vise, is held
much more securely than with the hand.
b) Wait until the power tool has stopped
before depositing it. The tool can get
caught and make you lose control over
the power tool.
c) Immediately disconnect the power tool if
the tool is blocked. Be prepared for the
reaction that causes the kickback when
blocking. The tool locks if the power tool
is overloaded or tilts on the work piece.
d) Use suitable scanning devices to detect
hidden conductors or pipes. Contact with
electrical conductors may cause a fire or
electric shock. Damage to a gas line can
cause an explosion. Drilling a water pipe
can cause material damage.
e) Hold the power tool firmly. When tightening
and loosening screws can occur abrupt
reaction pairs.
9. Safety instructions in the case of using
long drill bits
a) Always start drilling at low speed and with
the tip of the bit in contact with the work
piece. At higher speeds, the bit can be
doubled if it is allowed to rotate without
touching the work piece, resulting in
personal injury.
