STAR TOPOLOGY
To implement a star topology an external switch is
required.
It can be connected to any of the 4 LAN ports of the
device.
Connecting 2 different ports of the device to the external
switch a full redundancy is achieved.
The mandatory requirement is that the external switch
must be managed and support STP.
Each XPS 16K device must be connected to a different
switch port.
The maximum number of devices that can be connected
in the same LAN is determined by IPv4 protocol.
