5.1
Ambient Temperatures
Without water cooling, the camera is designed for ambient operating temperatures between -15 to
50°C (5 to 122°F). With water cooling equipment, it can be used in environments at higher
temperatures. For more details, see section 7.4
5.2
Environment
This unit complies with the international protection standard IP54. "Splash-proof" here refers to
"effective against splashing by water from every direction."
Note that effectiveness against splashing is possible only with terminal caps in place and the power
connector connected. To maintain IP54 compliance, we recommend periodic inspection/replacement
of gaskets. Gaskets should be replaced every two years.
5.3
Electrical Interference
To minimize electrical or electromagnetic interference, follow these precautions:
Mount the unit as far away as possible from possible sources of interference such as
motorized equipment producing large step load changes!
Ensure a fully insulated installation of the unit (avoid ground loops!).
Make sure the shield wire in the unit cable is earth grounded at one location!
To avoid potential differences, use a single power circuit to power both the camera and the PC
running the software!
