Ray101E Handheld VHF Radio

4.11 Turning On the Backlight

To toggle the display’s Backlight ON or OFF,

press and release

the

key.

When the Backlight setting is enabled, any key press except

PTT

turns on the

backlight for 5 seconds. If a key is pressed within the time frame, the time out
is reset.

4.12 Turning On the Keylock

To toggle the Keylock ON or OFF,

press and hold

the

key for 3

seconds. When Keylock is enabled, the lock icon appears on the display.

The Keylock setting protects the radio from any keypad entry except for

PTT

and the backlight function.

Press and hold

the

key again for 3 seconds to cancel the keylock.
