8.4 Sensitivity

The sensitivity level of the radio can be set to Local mode or Distant mode.

Local mode

decreases the receiver sensitivity in high traffic areas to reduce unwanted reception.

When in Local mode the ‘Loc’ icon is displayed in the status bar.

Distant mode

sets the receiver sensitivity to full.

Switching sensitivity modes

You can switch between Local and Distant modes at any time.
