3-1-1.Windows 98 DV Driver Setup

Step 1.Install the DV driver

If you are using

Windows98

, you have to install the driver

“SONYDVCR.SYS”

attached to the

RATOC IEEE1394 PCI Board CD-ROM

.The

SONYDVCR.SYS

supports

standard AVC/FCP command set, so it is compatible to all DVCAMs which come from any

manufacturers such as SONY, Canon, Panasonic and JVC.

1.For the first time, you connect your DVCAM and turn it on, Hardware Wizard will

detect your DVCAM and the following screen will appear automatically. Click

[Next].

(If the following screen did not start, please refer to Chapter 10-2.)

2.When the following window appears, select

[Search for the best driver for your device

(Recommended)].

Then click

[Next].
