In
this
chapter,
you
will
learn
more
about
the
OSD
or
front
panel
operations
for
advanced
features,
such
as
updating
the
channel
status,
setting
up
the
security
feature,
etc.
If
your
MCCAT
is
a
two
‐
tier
system,
you
must
perform
these
operations
on
the
first
‐
tier
MCCAT
unit.
Make
sure
you
have
programmed
all
of
the
second
‐
tier
MCCAT
units
as
the
second
‐
tier
devices;
otherwise,
any
operation
or
setting
you
have
done
will
apply
to
the
first
‐
tier
MCCAT
unit
only
instead
of
the
whole
system.
For
information
on
how
to
programme
an
MCCAT
unit
as
a
second
‐
tier
device,
see
STEP
1:
Programme
an
MCCAT
Unit
as
a
Second
‐
Tier
Device
(on
page
33).
Note:
In
a
two
‐
tier
system,
SCAN,
SKIP
and
channel
buttons
of
all
second
‐
tier
devices
are
disabled.
However,
these
buttons
work
properly
on
the
first
‐
tier
MCCAT
unit.
