MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, & REPAIR:
Like any piece of quality equipment, the RAPTOR vise will need periodic cleaning and maintenance, a routine
maintenance schedule should be administered to prevent lock-up and ensure maximum efficiency. The entire slide
segment of the vise can be easily removed and replaced.
1.
Remove (2) shoulder bolts at the bottom of the vise body.
2.
Remove slide assembly by sliding from the vise body making sure not to let the carriages/jaws rotate on the shaft.
3.
Set the slide assembly on a flat surface. Note if the carriage rotates one revolution or more on the screw the
centering between the jaws will be off.
4.
Completely clean all surfaces and holes from all coolant, fluids, and chips.
5.
Clean entire vise body especially the center way before re-assembling vise.
6.
Grease the threads of the lead screw.
7.
Reassemble the vise making sure the carriage marked with a (R) will make contact with the stop screw.
