Remove Crimp Terminals: 

 

 

Last, cut the power cables cables from the hood and remove them.  This is can be easily done by cutting 
the retaining zip ties and then cutting the connectors off of the ends of the power cables. 

 

 

Your prepped, gutted hood should have only the original fans left as in the photo below:
