ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

The  manufacturer  and  their  appointed  agents  decline  any  responsibility  in  the  case  of  assembly  not  being  in
accordance  with  these  instructions.    You  will  require  a  Philips  head  screwdriver  and  adjustable  wrench  for
assembly purposes and you should also refer to exploded view / parts list as necessary.

Refer to steps in FIGURES 1, 2 & 3 above.

1.  Remove all packing material and literature from the carton.

2.  Attach  the  legs  to  the  cooker  frame  with  the  screws  (Screw  A)  supplied  -

tighten the screws.

3.  Insert  the  bolt  through  the  spring  (Figure  4),  and  install  the  set  into  the  screw

hole  at  the  front  left  of  the  venturi  of  the  burner  hand  (See  Step  2  of  Figure
1,2,and 3). This bolt is used to control the air

, read “Lighting the burner” page 5

for more information

4.  Insert the burners and secure with the front and rear screws (Screw A)

– do not

tighten the screws yet.

5.  Attach  the  gas  valve/s  to  the  front  of  the  burners  by  screw  on  the  valve

(GB01LP  Only)  or  with  screws  (Screw  B,

you  may  need  to  shift  the  burners

slightly to the right position to align the screw holes

) - tighten the screws.

Then

tighten the screws for the burner heads.

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A SIGNITIFATE AEROATION HOLES BESIDE
THE INLET OF THE BURNER HEAD/S. THIS IS NORMAL. THE HOLES ARE FOR LETTING AIR IN FOR
COMBUSTION.

6.  Attach the outlet of the gas supply hose to the inlet connection at the gas manifold and tighten the connection

fully in a clockwise direction using a suitable spanner.

7.  Connect  the  regulator  end  of  the  gas  supply  hose  to  the  LPG  cylinder  and  tighten  the  connection  fully  in  a

counter-clockwise direction.

8.

You  must  check  for  gas  leaks

before  use  and  whenever  a  fitting  (hose  or  regulator)  is  disconnected  or

reconnected, or cylinder  is refilled

–

To check for gas leaks,

open  the cylinder  valve  with the appliance gas

valves  in  the  ‘OFF’  position  and  check  for  leakage  by  brushing  a  solution  of  detergent  and  water  on  to  the
connection points at the bottle and the appliance.  If bubbling is evident (may take up to  30 seconds to appear)
this  indicates  a  gas  leak  is  present.    If  disassembling,  cleaning,  reassembling  and  tightening  the  connection
does  not  rectify  the  leak  you  should  close  the  gas  cylinder  valve  and  consult  the  place  of  purchase  for
assistance.

WARNING: YOU MUST NEVER USE A NAKED FLAME TO TEST FOR GAS LEAKS.

GAS TYPE

These  country  cookers  are  suitable  for  use  with propane  gas  (LP)  only  and  cylinder  sizes  4.5  kg  or  larger  with a
POL  fitting.    Only  cylinders  which  comply  with  AS2030.1  should  be  used.    It  may  be  hazardous  to  attempt  to  fit
other types of gas containers

PRECAUTIONS

Select  a  suitable  position  for  the  country  cooker.    It  is  important  to  ensure  maximum  performance,  economy

and safety of operation.

Always ensure that adequate fresh air is provided for ventilation.

The country cooker must only be operated OUTDOORS and on a level firm non-combustible surface.

  Spider

s’  webs can interfere with the flow of gas / air into the burner causing  yellow or abnormal  flame. The

opening into the burner directly in front of the gas valve should be checked and cleared with a pipe cleaner or
similar length device.

The country cooker is a portable outdoor appliance and is not designed to be installed

This  cooker  shall  not  be  used  in  a  position  where  it  could  create  a  fire  hazard  and  the  following  minimum

clearances to combustible materials must be observed: MINIMUM CLEARANCE FROM COUNTRY COOKER
TO  REAR  OR  SIDES  OF  COMBUSTIBE  SURFACES  MUST  BE  NO  LESS  THAN  250MM  AND  TO
OVERHEAD COMBUSTIBLE SURFACES NO LESS THAN 1200MM.
