Remove the retaining screw on the hotend with a 2 mm hex wrench.

Once the retaining screw is loosened, the heating rod should be able to slide out.

Note:

If the heating rod is not able to slide out freely, you can use a small flat head screwdriver to

gently flex the heating block. At that point, there should be enough clearance for the heating rod
to slide out smoothly.
