Firmware Update
A Firmware Update will replace all of the application code contained in the program
memory of the
EMU-2
™. The update code is loaded into the
EMU-2
™ using the serial
port and the
Personal Meter Reader
™ software. You will need to follow the directions
in the previous section, “Connecting to the Serial Port”.
Once your computer is connected to the
EMU-2
™, click the “Home” tab at the top of the
Personal Meter Reader
™ screen, and select “Firmware”.
The “Firmware Update” window should pop up.
(a) Click the button to the right of the
“Firmware File” field. You should be able to
browse to the .zigbee file that contains the updated code image. Once you have
selected it, the file name should a
ppear in the “Firmware File” field.

Click the “Check File” button. You will see several lines of info appear in the lower
half of the window, ending with, “Check File complete.”
