Light Bulb Replacement Instructions
A constant voltage circuit in the engine controls the locomotive’s lights. They are easy to
remove and replace when they burn out. To replace the light bulbs in the engine remove
the 6 screws that attach the boiler as shown in fig. 5 on page 12. Then remove the boiler.
You can obtain replacement bulbs directly

Headlight:
1. Unplug the blue connector in the front of
the boiler shell. See fig. 8
2. Gently pull on the wires to remove the
light bulb from the headlight shell.
3. Gently push the new light bulb into the
headlight housing.
4. Reconnect the blue connectors.
Marker LEDs:
The marker lights are illuminated by Light
Emitting Diodes (LEDs). LEDs draw very
little current and should last a long time
when compared to light bulbs. However, if
one LEDs fails, both must be replaced as
set, since they are wired together.
To replace the front LEDs:
1. Unplug the yellow connector in the front
of the boiler shell. See fig. 8
2. Gently pull on the wires from the bottom
of the marker housings and through the sides of the smoke box.
3. Gently thread the new LEDs through the sides of the smoke box and into the marker
light housing.
4. Reconnect the yellow connectors.
