Checking the Battery
You may find,ifyourset was built several m onths before you setitup,thatthe
rechargeable battery has r undown andneeds to bechargedbeforeoperating. Ifyou
noticethatthesoundsaregarbled,testand charge the engine as describedinthe"Self-
Charging Battery Back-Up" on page16.
Remote Control
The r emote andlock-onaredesignedforuse with moderate powersupplies such as t h e
one included w ith this set. It is compatible w ith virtuallyany manufacturer'sengines.
The RailKing Remote Control and Remote Lock-on will n ot operateengines
equipped with pre-1997 v ersions ofProto-Sound or with Proto-One, Proto-Plus,
Proto-Deluxe, aftermarket systems.
