Light Bulb Replacement Instructions
The locomotive lights are controlled by a constant voltage circuit in the engine. They can
be removed and replaced when they burn out by separating the body from the chassis as
seen on the following pages. Once the body has been separated, see the illustrations
below to remove the lights.
You can obtain replacement bulbs directly from the M.T.H. Parts Department (order

To Remove The Body From The Chassis
1. Turn the locomotive over and locate and remove the truck side screws as detailed in
Figure 16.
2. Next, locate and remove the body mounting screws as seen in Figure 17.
3. Once the body screws have been removed, separate the handrails from the cab area of
the body as seen in Figures 18 and 19.
