Enginespeedmustbebelow10scalemph(approx.10
voltsorlessinconventionalmode).
Volume

Thesoundsseemdistorted,
especiallywhentheHornorbellis
activated.

Loco-Sound volume i s s e t too high.
Turn the volume
controlknobonthebottomofthechassiscounter-clockwise
toreducethevolume.
Volume issettoolow,adjustvolumecontrolknobonthe
bottomofthechassisclockwisetoincreasethevolumeor
checkconnectortospeaker.

bellcomesoninstead.

Reversethetransformerleads
You maybepressingthebuttontooquickly.Trypressing

WhenIruntwoLoco-Sound
enginesontracksneareachother,
theProto-Castand Dispatchsounds
play frombothengines,notjust
fromtheoneconnectedto theaudio
sourceormicrophone.
Cleanthetrackwithdenaturedalcohol,asdescribedin the
"CleaningtheWheels,Tires,andTrack"sectionofthis
book.
Unplugthecablebetweentheaudiosourceandtheremote
lock-on. Re-plugitintotheaudiosourcefirst,thenintothe
lock-on,pushingfirmlytomakesureitisfullyinstalled.
Yourrecordingmaybeplayingtooquietlytotriggerthe
enginetostopplayingitsownsoundset. Turnupthe
volumeof theaudiosourceyouareusing.
Thisisnormalbehavior. Because Loco-Soundusesradio
wavestotransmitthesoundtotheengine,otherLoco-
Soundenginesin thesamerangewillals o pickupthe
sound. Try movingoneofthesets.
