Donotdroptheremote. Itcandamagethedelicateelectronicsinside.
Removebatteriesbeforestoringforextendedperiods.
AnyattemptbyanyoneotherthananauthorizedM.T.H.repairpersontoopenand
repairthehandheldtransmitterorlock-onmayresultindamageandthelossof
warrantyprotection.
Ifyourtrainrespondsinconsistently,replaceoldbatterieswithfreshones. Donot
mixoldandnewbatteries.
Theengineshouldbeoiledandgreasedinordertorunproperly.
Regularlylubricateallsiderodsandlinkagecomponentsandpickuprollers
topreventsqueaking. Uselighthouseholdoil,suchasthatfoundin
M.T.H.'smaintenancekit. Donotoveroil. Useonlyadroportwooneach
pivotpoint.
Thelocomotive'sinternalgearingwasgreasedatthefactory. Greaseengineevery50
hoursofuseoroneyear. Usealithiumbasedgreaseandfollowthegreasinginstructions.

Removethescrewfromthechassistoopen
thegreaseport.
Insertthegreasetubetipintotheportand
squeezethetubeonceortwicetoaddgrease
tothegearbox.
Wipeoffanyexcessgreaseandreplacethe
phillipsscrewsecurely.
