is recommended that waste wood and firewood
should not be sawn.
3.10.Large workpieces.
Large workpieces should be supported by a
table extension at the same height as the circular
saw table. Such an extension can be made of
wood and should be placed behind the machine
and attached to the workbench independently
of the sawing machine. You can also ask other
trained people to hold the wood. They must not
however be young people under the age of 18.
4. EXAMPLES OF THINGS THAT CAN GO
WRONG IF CIRCULAR SAW TABLES ARE
USED INCORRECTLY!
4.1. Touching the rotating saw blade
This can happen if the protective devices and
accessories (such as the saw guard, screening
beneath the table top, the riving knife and the push
stick) are missing or incorrectly used. Incorrectly
functioning protective devices and accessories
can also cause accidents. When the machine is
switched off and is therefore no longer making a
noise, the user must exercise caution, as the saw
blade may still be rotating. The saw guard is also
very important in this situation.
4.2. Workpiece kickback
In the event of kickback of the work, people
nearby may be hit by the work flying off at great
speed and may suffer serious or even fatal injury.
Kickback of the workpiece may have the following
causes, possibly in combination with one another:
• The work sticking to the saw blade because
there is no riving knife or the riving knife used is
too thin or incorrectly set.
• There is no rip fence (straight edge) or it
is incorrectly set. The wood can then get stuck
between the main guide and the rotating saw
blade.
4.3. The rotating saw blade breaks
This may be caused by:
• Incorrect sharpening method.
• Saw blade fitted incorrectly.
• Incorrect working procedure.
• Sawing material that is unsuitable for the saw
blade.
4.4. Electrical system
Metal parts becoming live and fire starting due
to an incorrect or faulty electrical system.
4.5. Noise level
Excessive levels of noise can damage the
hearing of people who are regularly near a
circular saw table.
4.6. Harmful sawdust
The production and circulation of sawdust can
be harmful to health. This is also true for sawing
plastic and glued wood workpieces, since harmful
vapours may also be released in addition to dust.
5. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Assembly of the bench extensions • Before
attaching the bench extensions, first remove the
perforated base plate (you can now also remove
and discard the motor protection materials).
• Once the bottom side is open, you can attach
the diagonal support struts to the bench saw.
• Now attach the bench extensions to the
basic bench top. Next, attach the extensions to
the diagonal support struts.
• Once all the extensions have been
assembled, re-attach the base plate (taking care
that all extensions are perfectly lined up with the
basic bench top itself).
• Lastly, attach the guide rail (with ruler) to the
front edge of the bench top.
Installation of the machine on a workbench
or on the subframe This machine is a stationary
machine and for safety reasons must always
be firmly installed and not used for mobile
applications.
You can install the machine in two ways:
a. As a stationary machine on a workbench.
In this case the machine must be secured to the
workbench with 4 bolts.
b. As a stationary machine on the subframe.
In this case the machine must be secured to the
subframe with 4 bolts and the subframe anchored
to the floor or to a floor plate with dimensions of at
least 1 square metre
Assembly of the bench saw on the workbench
Before adjusting the saw, make sure the plug
is removed from the socket.
Only use the machine after it has been
assembled completely and it has been screwed
onto the workbench or the frame.
• Fasten the machine with bolts.
• If the frame is used, it must be fixed on the
floor with four screws and the machine must be
fixed on the frame with four screws. Check the
screws before switching the machine on.
Assemble undercarriage
• Turn the machine upside down.
• Remove the black plastic bottom plate by
unscrewing the 6 screws.
