3-3-3.Setup the N8103-135 <Windows Server 2008>
If the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER provided with the server is Version 5.10-014(5.10-014.05 or later),
5.10-017 or later, connect the N8103-135 to the server and execute "Updating the System". After
rebooting the server, the setup is completed.
If the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER provided with the server is Version 5.10-016, setup according to the
procedure below.
If the RAID Controller (N8103-134) is used
You do not need to install the driver manually. It is automatically installed by Windows Plug-and-Play.
If the RAID Controller (N8103-134) is not used
Please install the driver by the following procedures.
Note:
- In case of using Windows Server 2008 Server Core
Log on as administrator.
Insert

DVD into the optical disk drive.
Execute the following command line from command prompt.

is the drive letter of the optical disk drive.
- Windows Server 2008 (32-bit)
pnputil -i -a D:¥016¥win¥winnt¥oemfd¥ws2008¥fd1¥stexstpt¥stexstpt.inf
- Windows Server 2008 (64-bit)
pnputil -i -a D:¥016¥win¥winnt¥oemfd¥ws2008x64¥fd1¥stexstpt¥stexstpt.inf
After the command finished, restart the system.
The installation of the driver is completed.
1. Boot the system and log in it using the user name to which an authority of administration is assigned
(e.g. administrator). If the [Found New Hardware Wizard] is booted, click [Cancel].
When this Wizard is not booted, go to Next.
2. Start [Computer Management].
3. Double-click the [RAID Controller] which Device Manager lists as [Other devices].
4. Select the [Driver] tab, and click [Update Driver].
5. When the [Update Driver Software- RAID Controller Wizard] appears, select
[Browse my computer for driver software].
6. Select [Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer].
7. Select [Storage controllers] from the list of [Common hardware types], and click [Next].
8. Click [Have Disk..].
9. Insert

DVD into the optical disk drive.
Enter a path to the folder in the NEC EXPRESSBUILDER DVD into [Copy manufacturer's files from:]
and click [OK].
- Windows Server 2008 (32-bit):

- Windows Server 2008 (64-bit):
<drive letter>:¥016¥win¥winnt¥oemfd¥ws2008x64¥fd1¥stexstpt
10. Specify the following driver and click [Next].

11. Click [Close].
12. Restart the system.
The installation of the driver is completed.
