WiNRADiO G35DDC User’s Manual

Continuous adjustment of the demodulator filter bandwidth makes it possible
to adjust the bandwidth to exactly fit the actual spectrum of the received signal,
and to obtain the best signal-to-noise ratio and minimize interference from
adjacent channels.

For USB/LSB modes, dragging one edge of the shaded area adjusts the
tuning position, dragging the other adjusts the filter bandwidth. The “tuning
edge” is highlighted for easy orientation. The same applies to AMS, ISB and
DSB modes if only one sideband is selected.

Frequency Stepping

Another facility available under the tuning tab is

Frequency stepping

The buttons marked

and

select the stepping size. They correspond to

the stepping size in kHz. The 5 kHz station spacing is typically used on
shortwaves; 10 kHz spacing is used between medium wave stations in North
America and 9 kHz on medium waves elsewhere.
