VOX is convenient to start a conversation without pressing the PTT button. The transceiver automatically
s
witches to Transmission Mode when the VOX will activate the transmit mode to transmit the signal
when you are speaking to the microphone.
1. When operating the VOX function, be sure to set the VOX gain level which allows the transceiver
to recognize the sound.
2. If the microphone is too sensitive, the transceiver will begin transmitting when there is noise in the
background.
If it is not sensitive enough, it will not pick up your voice when you are speaking. Be sure to adjust the
VOX gain level to an appropriate sensitivity to allow smooth transmission.
In standby mode, press [POWER/MENU] key for 3 times to enter VOX setting, then the “VOX” icon
will display on the LCD screen.
Press [UP] or [DOWN] to select OFF/1/2/3
Press [POWER/MENU] to enter the next menu, or press [PTT] to save the new setting and back to
the standby mode, you can also wait for 8 seconds and it will be saved automatically.
Tip: Select appropriate parameters according to the noise situation of the use environment:
3= high sensitivity, suitable for low background noise.
2= medium sensitivity, suitable for most situations.
1= low sensitivity, suitable for loud background noise.
