CTCSS/DCS
CTCSS/DCS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System)/ (Digital Coded Squelch)
Some times when you're working with larger groups of people using the same channel, things can get
very crowded, very fast. To minimize this problem, CTCSS/DCS code will help you block out unwanted
transmissions on your frequency have developed.
Press [POWER/MENU] key twice to enter the CTCSS/DCS setting. A flashing "CT” or “DCS" will be
in the down status display to indicate the radio is in CTCSS/DCS mode, then press [S/L] to switch
CT or DCS mode.

Chapter 3 – Basic operation
Quick Start Guide
1. Install battery in radio body until it clicks (be gentle!)
2. After install the battery, the radio will turn on automatically.
3. Select your desired channel, press the PTT and talk!
Channel Switch
In standby mode, press [POWER/MENU] to enter the channel selection , and the current channel
number (the big number in the middle of the screen) starts flashing.
Press [UP] or [DOWN] to select the channel.
Press [POWER/MENU] to enter the next menu, or press [PTT] to save the new settings and back
to the standby mode, you can also wait for 8 seconds and it will be saved automatically.
